President Buhari, The only blood in my veins is the Blood of Jesus and it is UNCHANGEABLE AND NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Just perusing through the inaugural speech of President Muhammadu Buhari. His speech writers definitely did a terrible job of writing his speech for him. The man may mean well but some of his statements came out the wrong way for people like me still see him as a former dictator that overthrew a democratically elected government and now claims to be a "born again-democrat". Buhari is a conservative moslem what does he know about the word "born again"?. Anyway back to his inaugural speeech. In his speech he said:

 "Furthermore, we as Nigerians must remind ourselves that we are heirs to great civilizations: Shehu Othman Dan fodio’s caliphate, the Kanem Borno Empire, the Oyo Empire, the Benin Empire and King Jaja’s formidable domain. The blood of those great ancestors flow in our veins. What is now required is to build on these legacies, to modernize and uplift Nigeria." ~ Excerpt from President General Muhammadu Buhari, inaugural speech.

Really? Your Excellency why the infatuation with the word "blood"? Or is this a coded statement for Boko Haram and Niger Delta militants to eschew violence and embrace peace and come together "to modernize and uplift Nigeria"? Or have the APC cabals initiated you? Isolugo fa ńuba obala? (Have you joined them in sucking blood) Your obvious tribalistic speech writers certainly did you an indelible injustice with this divisive statement.
As an Igbo son, I feel left out since in the above statement because the blood of the people you mentioned does not flow in me. Does it mean that the Igbos or other excluded ethnic groups doesn't have ancestral heroes worthy of mention in the aforementioned?  I guess that makes us losers from Biafra?. This really makes the case for the people agitating for the State of Biafra. This statement should have been avoided all together by President Buhari. It is from such reckless statements that Boko Haram fuel Boko Haram insurgency because they claim they are from the ancient Borno empire and have mentioned the Uthman Dan Fodio caliphate in some of their speeches.

For those that voted for Buhari as the vessel of change, how many of the above people's blood flow in your veins? Certainly not in mine. The only blood in my veins is the Blood of Jesus and it is UNCHANGEABLE AND NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Saraki-Dogara Definitely On The NASS Driver's Seat

The President of the 8th Senate Sen Olusola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara are definitely on the political drivers seats. They have a couple of options.  (1) They can split the APC and form New-APC anti-Tinubu-APC cabals wing of the party.   (2) Saraki can outright defect back to PDP and retain his President of the Senate position. This will give PDP both the Senate President and Deputy Senate President positions. After all the former PDP Governo rs who jumped to APC retained their elected positions with the blessings of the courts.  PG Mu Buhari absolutely did the right thing by distancing himself from the APC internal shenanigans. He already said he would work with Saraki-Dogara faction of APC.
