Obiano is The Winner of Anambra Governorship Election
The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) have declared the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate Willie Obiano the winner of the Anambra state Governorship election. This announcement was made in the early hours of the morning from INEC headquarters in Awka, Anambra state, following the completion of the supplementary elections in 210 polling units scattered in some parts of the state. Making the announcement, the Returning Officer, Professor James Opoke, the Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar declared that Obiano polled the majority votes, and satisfied the requirements of the law by securing at least 25 percent of the votes in two-thirds of the 21 local governments in the state.
